    • About the Team

Welcome to the Advanced Microwave and Millimeter-Wave RF Integrated Circuit (MMIC) Design Team at the School of Microelectronics, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).

Our group was officially established in September 2021 by Dr. Xiaohu Fang upon his integration into SUSTech. Since our founding, we have been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of hardware capabilities for next-generation wireless networks.

    • Our Mission & Research Focus

Our research is deeply centered on the architectural exploration and design of high-performance microwave and millimeter-wave RF front-end transceivers. As global demands for faster and more reliable data transmission surge, our primary mission is to significantly enhance communication system capacity. We strive to tackle and overcome the critical hardware bottlenecks and complex challenges faced by advanced communication systems, such as bandwidth-efficiency trade-offs and high-frequency nonlinearities.

    • Our People & Facilities

Today, our group has grown into a dynamic, highly collaborative research family of approximately 20 members. This includes a talented cohort of Ph.D. candidates and Master's students, fully supported by our experienced administrative staff who ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

To transform our theoretical innovations into physical reality, our laboratory is fully equipped with state-of-the-art IC design software environments and comprehensive, world-class high-frequency testing facilities. We are committed to fostering an innovative, rigorous, and student-centered academic environment, constantly striving for excellence in the field of RFIC and MMIC design.
